Homework: Finish Recognizing Tone packet, and keep reading The Great Gatsby.

Homework: Grammar Girl’s Quick and Dirty Tips:  Scroll to the bottom for the "Top 10 episodes." You can play the audio version (using play button at the top of each episode). Take handwritten notes.  At a minimum, you should number and title each basic rule, and provide at least one useful tip per episode.

Tone Quiz; practice timed writing. Annotate the passage and then look at the teacher's version: what did you miss? Write the essay, and discuss the rubric.

Homework: Finish Revisions of the Style Draft based on your peer reviews. Finish reading The Great Gatsby
