Fayette County Schools Rental Policy       A limited number of instruments are available to rent from the school.  The fee for the year is $25.00.  There is a contract that will be sent home with students the first week of school.  If there is a greater demand than supply, instruments will be rented on a financial-need basis.

Concert Attire   The official attire for our performances will be black pants and white dress shirts for gentlemen and black pants or a long black skirt with a white blouse for ladies.  Everyone should wear black shoes with dark socks (or dark hose or stockings for girls).  All clothing must fall within the school dress code and look neat and professional.  I will also be sending home an order form for an E.J. Hayes Orchestra shirt that we will use on occasion.  The cost of the shirt will be less than $15.00.  The order form will also be downloadable from the Orchestra home page.

Special Consideration for Cellists and Bassists     Cellists and Bassists do not have to worry about carrying an instrument back and forth to school each day, especially since their instruments cannot be taken on the school bus.  They will have an instrument assigned to them to use in class.  If they are renting an instrument from the school for use at home, that instrument can stay at home unless it needs to come to school for maintenance or tuning.

Instrument Storage Instrument and music storage is available in the Orchestra room.  Students will drop their instruments and folders off in the Orchestra room in the mornings when they are released to go to class and will pick them up when they are dismissed in the afternoons.
