Prolog - Read the Story

At some time in the past, great devices of destruction were built into huge rotating artificial habitats and spread across the galaxy. The nearest habitat to earth was called “Halo”. Halo has been destroyed, but other devices of doom still exist. They are in stand-by mode -- set to annihilate all existing life in the galaxy. The devices are very unstable, each one must be carefully shut down by hand. Adding to the diffuculty, many of the habitats are swarming with a race of hostile creatures. These creatures multiply so efficiently and rapidly they are known as “the flood”. You have been dispatched to fly a reconnaissance mission; you must determine if "the flood" is present on a particular habitat. You will fly into the upper atmosphere and use a sound wave to probe into the lower atmosphere of the habitat. The wave must be calibrated very carefully. The devices of doom may be activated by high frequency sound waves. You must find the lowest frequency sound wave capable of resolving an image of a single flood creature. Find the necessary frequency, and do it quickly! If you find you need additional help click on the bottom of the screen. Good Luck, the Milky Way Galaxy is depending on you!
