C 4 News You Can Use Mrs. Quinn-Wright’s August 25, 2009
· It looks like the children are getting the hang of their blue take-home folders. This is the primary way that I will communicate with you and your family. I’m so glad they are remembering to take them home for you to see and are returning them to school each day! · Speaking of take-home folders, thanks for keeping the students’ homework assignments in them. Children are less likely to lose their packets if they are placed back in the folder each day. · Don’t forget, you’re welcome to join your child for lunch on any day. Our lunch begins at 11:10 and the cost for adults is $3.50. · We are continuing to collect money for the cost of our school’s daily agendas and the Scholastic News (a paper the children will receive almost weekly). Agendas -$2.00 Scholastic News - $5.00. Scholastic News is required reading in my class. Please send checks or money in an envelope or baggy marked with your child’s name on it. We’re hoping to have all money collected by the end of August. The children will receive their first Scholastic News at the beginning of September. · This week, homework will be due on Friday, August 28. · Innisbrook wrapping paper sales have begun! Whatever you sell will be a big help to our school and class! · The magnet window has opened. On line applications will be accepted from September 1-October 15. Siblings must apply. Our Magnet Night is September 24. Hays off to… · all of the students in my class! They were caught being good in Art class and earned 10 extra dolphins. · all of the students again! We have already cashed in 50 dolphins for the first time! · Maixuan C., our new Student of the Week! Maixuan always participates in class, and loves following the Dixie Magnet School rules. · Emily E. She celebrated her 7th birthday yesterday. Hooray for Emily! · every single student for returning their homework. I’m so proud of them! |
