Bad News…

Well, parents, I have had some bad news.  I will have to have my gallbladder removed sometime in the next two or three weeks.  I am guessing I will have to be out for a week, but I do not know yet when that will be.  I will let you know as soon as I know!  It’s going to be hard on me, though.  I never like to be away from my students!  I will explain this all to the students when it is closer to my actual surgery.

Bloggy Goodness

As I mentioned in an earlier Weekly, I am taking a technology course at Georgetown College.  One of our main assignments is to have a blog.  I have created one that is intended for you to use!  Keep in mind that it is a work in progress.  If you would like to visit, the web address is : http://kentuckyclassroom.org/vfields/

Mystery Reader

Thanks so much to Mr. Walker, Mrs. Vaught, and Mrs. Canada for coming in and reading to us!  The children absolutely loved it.  Again, I want to have parents, grandparents, community members, anybody we can think of to come in and be a Mystery Reader.  If you would like to participate or if you know someone else who could come, please contact me.   I am willing to work around anyone’s schedule.

Important News for Parents and Guardians

** Due to our snow days, we will be going to school on February 15th or March 7th.  These were formerly days off for students, but we will ALL need to report to school that day.

**  We love to see parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and guardians at lunch time!  Please feel free to come and eat with your child at 10:45.  Lunch is $3.25 for adults.   Please take note that it is school policy that no outside food from restaurants (like McDonald’s) is allowed at Dixie.
