A Very Busy Week… Parents, I apologize for the craziness of the week. I was out on Monday due to a meeting, and I have been battling an illness the rest of the week. Therefore, I will be doing a lot of grading over the weekend! I am sorry for not having many papers sent home this week. Also, I wanted to tell you that if you would like to send in cupcakes for birthdays, we have 24 children in our classroom. There is a rule that Dixie has that I honestly forgot to mention to you. We may only serve store-bought food at school. Even though home-made cupcakes are extremely tasty, we have to leave those at home. I apologize for this. Cold and Rainy WeatherSome parents have been asking about cold weather and recess. Typically, I like to take the kids out for some fresh air and exercise, provided it is not raining. Therefore, please send your child in with very warm coats, gloves, and hats! If you need any assistance with this, please talk to me or Raine Clark, our Family Resource Center director.I also have an update about recess and rainy weather. It looks like we will be able to go to the gym every day that it is rainy or too cold. Mr. Marshall has the gym open during our recess time, so we will still be able to get some exercise. (Whew!)Mystery ReaderWe loved having Mrs. Tipton in as our Mystery Reader today! Again, I want to have parents, grandparents, community members, anybody we can think of to come in and be a Mystery Reader. If you would like to participate or if you know someone else who could come, please contact me. I am willing to work around anyone’s schedule.Sticker StoreThings have been very busy in F-Complex! We apologize for not having Sticker Store recently. However, Mrs. Quinn-Wright has had a good idea about what we will do for December. Near the end of December, we will have a sticker store that will use all of their stickers from the last couple of months. The kids will choose things from the Store that they can give to a loved one. We will even have a wrapping station. If you have little knick-knacks or anything else at home that might work for this, please send them our way! We can use anything you might have!Special Events for Next Week:We thought it would be nice to have some special days for our students next week. Take a look below to see what kind of fun your child will have!Tuesday – Bring a stuffed animal to school.Wednesday – Bring your favorite book to school.Thursday – Bring your favorite game to school.
