Parent Involvement
Volunteers
We have many different areas and ways that you can
volunteer in our classes. We appreciate your help!
●
Class store: We depend on volunteers to make this store run!
Once a month parent volunteers manage the store by assisting with set-up
and clean-up as well as helping students write their checks and make
purchases. Donations for the class store are also appreciated.
● Homeroom Parent: Each class will have a homeroom parent
for the school year. The homeroom parent is in charge of classroom
parties, contacting other parents, etc. The Parent Teacher Association
(PTA) will be working with this person.
● Book orders: Book orders are sent home at
various times in the year. Volunteers can help collect and organize
orders. When these orders are received we also can use help
distributing books.
● Field trips: Parents are invited to attend
various field trips throughout the year.
● In
the classroom: Volunteering in the classroom can include a
variety of activities: laminating, copying, and working with small
groups.
