Take a look at what we are learning!

Math:  We just finished a unit on Fractions.  Students learned all about ordering and comparing fractions, finding equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions, as well as the relationship between fractions, decimals, and percents.  In our next unit, students will be learning about data analysis!  Students will learn how to collect data and how to display that data in different forms, as well as how to analyze that data.

Writing: Students are working On-Demand writing.  This involves responding to a  prompt in either an article or letter format, in a fully developed piece of writing.

Reading: Students have been working hard at analyzing different types of text-they have learned all sorts of skills such as author's purpose, sequencing, persuasive techniques, text features, and lots more!

Social Studies: Students are learning all about the history of the United States, and how we became the country we are today.  Currently in this timeline, the students just finished learning about the events that occurred during the American Revolution, and how our country declared its independence from Britain.  In the next unit, students will be learning all about our government and how a democracy works!

Science:  The students are currently learning about weather and systems that relate to it, such as the water cycle.
