Kindergarten Homework Policy

   All written homework should be completed in pencil.

     Reading

Your child will receive his/her individualized reading homework on Mondays and Wednesdays.  This homework is due the next day.   The purpose for our homework is to practice the skills learned in our small and whole groups.  Homework will review previously learned skills.  Please encourage your child to do as much of the homework independently as possible.  You may assist them if they are having difficulty.

Everyday Math  

Math homework will be sent home frequently throughout the week.  However, due to the spiral nature of the Everyday Math program we are not able to send math homework on certain days of the week.  Math Homelinks are to be completed with a parent signature at the bottom. It is very important that you check your child's Take Home Folder EVERY night for the math Homelinks sheets.  Other math assignments are due the NEXT day.
