Parent, many student have had extreme difficulty with the vocabulary. We have set our goal for 80% accuracy on tests. If your child does not reach this goal, they will receive remediation assignments and be allowed to retake the test on Wednesday.  

  Vocabulary

Lesson 8- Anger and Forgiveness

  1. Appease- to satisfy, calm, or soothe, usually by giving in to demands (verb)

  2. Condone- to allow, accept, or overlook something wrong (verb)

  3. Indignant- feeling anger about something unfair or mean (adjective)

  4. Infuriate- to cause extreme anger; to enrage (verb)

  5. Malicious- deliberately harmful; done with a desire to harm or cause suffering (adjective)

  6. Penitent- regretful; sorry for bad deeds (adjective)

  7. Reconcile- to settle differences; to bring into harmony or agreement (verb)

  8. Resent- to feel angry or bitter at something (verb)

  9. Retaliate- to respond to any injury or wrongdoing by inflicting another (verb)

  10. Wrath- violent, resentful anger, rage (noun)
