Summer Reading Projects are due October 6th, Monday. This will be the last day for students to turn in Summer Reading Projects without a late penalty. We will not have vocabulary the Week of October 6th due to our field trip on Wednesday, October 8th. All students will be participating in a classroom Spelling Bee Friday, October 10th to select winners for the Hayes Literacy Night Spelling Bee on October 14th. Mrs. Clements' 1st Period class is working on bringing in canned and bulk food items for the food drive. Our goal is to reach 117 pounds by the end of September and another 117 pounds by the end of October. Parents please help your child reach this goal and gain a better understanding of community service efforts.
In October students will receive an instructional magazine bi-monthly. We are asking for a $3.00 donation from students to help offset the cost of the magazine. (9.95) You help will be greatly appreciated.
