Why we assign homework.

We believe that homework is important because it is a valuable aid in helping students make the most of their experiences at school.  We give homework because it is useful in reinforcing what has been learned in class, it prepares students for upcoming lessons, it teaches responsibility, and it helps students develop positive study habits.

Students' Homework Responsibilities

We expect students to do their best on their homework, making sure that their homework is neat and turned in on time.  Students should do the work on their own, asking for help only after they have given it their best effort.

Parents' Homework Responsibilities

Parents are the key to making homework a positive experience for their children.  Therefore, we ask that parents make homework a top priority.  Purchase necessary supplies, establish a quiet homework environment, set a daily homework schedule, provide praise and support, and contact your child's teacher if you have concerns.
