Study for test over government systems and the American founding.  Review guides are worth 20 points extra credit.  Outlines are permitted for the essay portion of the test.

100 points possible, Summative Assessment. 

Be prepared for quiz over Articles of Confederation and the Constitutional Convention

Bring in evidence of research for your assigned group.  We will be using this research in class (formative, 20 points)

SCENARIO:

Mrs. Call is tired of grading late work.  Even though she said in your syllabus that she would accept late work for half credit, she randomly decides to cancel this policy.  She tells you that from this day forward, no late work is going to be accepted.  Furthermore, any latework you turned in you will recieve a zero for -- she wants to make a statement about her attitude towards late work. 

This new policy will bring down your grade two points, from a B to a C.  Other students' grades in the class also suffered as a consequence.  They are talking about starting  a protest-- until Mrs. Call reinstates her original policy, they won't obide by their responsibilities as outlined in the class syllabus.  You are tempted to join them, but are worried about the consequences.  What will your parents think? What if you get a referral from Mrs. Call? Will your grade suffer?

Determine what you would do in this scenario.  Will you side with those in the class that want to rebel? Why? Or will you play it safe and stick with the new policy that Mrs. Call has put into place.  Explain your reasoning.

30 points, formative assessment.

Bring in your paragraph stating where in the world you would most like to visit.  In your paragraph, please include the following:

- The name of the country you would like to visit

- Three reasons why you would like to visit this place

- Three places you have visited before that you really liked & why

Paragraph is due on Friday, August 14-- 25 points in the formative category of your grade.

Bring in your signed syllabus for homework (formative) credit-- 15 points

Notebook for Global Econ needs to be organized as described in the handout.  Fifty points for formative credit. Your notebook needs to contain the following:
