Introduction

In this activity, you will be researching one famous French person.  You will need to find basic biographical information about the person you are researching.  Once you have completed your research, you will design a PowerPoint presentation to explain what you learned to the class.
 

Questions

Your report to the class must answer the following questions:

A.  When and where was this person born and when did this person die (if applicable)?  Can you find a picture?

 B.  Why is this person important in history? 

C.  What is this person’s most important contribution to society and why is it important?

 D. How is this person’s influence felt today?

 E.  In which of the following categories would you place this person?

Evaluation

This is the rubric on which you will be graded. 

  1.  Information (20 points).   Does the information provided tell all that is needed to know about the person?

  2.  Presentation (15 points).  Does the slide present the information in an interesting way?  Are there graphics and is information in the slide organized to facilitate learning?

  3.  Cooperation (5 points).  Was this student cooperative with students and teachers on project days?  Was the student on-task and ask appropriately for help when it was needed? 

  4. Parent signature  (10 points)  Did the student return the Acceptable Usage Policy?
